Shoppers at Galleria Dallas will soon be able to transport themselves into the worlds of their favorite shows. Earlier this week, Netflix announced plans to open Netflix House, an immersive experience supplementing the streaming platform’s original film and television content, in two U.S. locations – one at King of Prussia Mall in Pennsylvania, and one at Galleria Dallas.

Netflix House is projected to open by fall 2025 and will offer retail products, like clothing and merchandise, as well as dining options with food items inspired by Netflix’s large catalog of originals. It will span across two floors and 100,000 square feet in the space previously occupied by Belk.

“Mixed uses places need to continue to evolve,” says Terry Montesi, CEO of Trademark Property Co. “Great mixed-uses places are leisure destinations and [Netflix House] is certainly a concept that will solidify Galleria Dallas as a true major regional leisure destination.”

At the time of writing, Netflix House’s Dallas location is still in the early stages of development. The streamer has kept much of the details under wraps, however, a representative from Netflix tells Thrillist that the Galleria Dallas location “was ideal because of its high foot traffic, diverse mix of stores, and proximity to a major city.”

The news arrives following the closures of several movie theaters in Dallas-Fort Worth – including the Angelika’s Plano location, as well as all of the Alamo Drafthouse locations in North Texas. While there have been talks of Dallas’ Netflix House location holding premieres and screenings, Galleria Dallas maintains that Netflix House will be more of an “experiential concept.”

“This is so much more than a theater,” says Angie Freed, general manager of Galleria Dallas. “I think this is evolved beyond a traditional theater. And while [screenings and premieres] may be part of the experience, Netflix House is so much more than that. People just consume differently today, and they want a memory. And Netflix House will be more about creating a memory and creating an experience than just going to watch a movie.”
