After five overwhelmingly successful permanent locations, Meow Wolf, the vibrant interactive art installation that first started in Santa Fe, is finally making its way to Los Angeles. A trailblazer in the world of immersive experiences, Meow Wolf started as a DIY collective in 2008, hosting rambunctious warehouse parties decked out with junkyard scraps turned into art. The group has since put on sprawling, multidimensional exhibits in malls, theme parks, and bowling alleys, including Omega Mart in Las Vegas, Convergence Station in Denver, and The Real Unreal in Grapevine, Texas. Over the years, the exhibitions have been frequented by celebrities like Britney Spears, Dua Lipa, and Megan Thee Stallion.

Set to inhabit a movie theater in West LA, Meow Wolf’s newest iteration will resemble its predecessors in its vast size and psychedelic feel while embracing LA’s singularity by featuring local artists and showcasing cinematic themes and Hollywood tie-ins. Like its other locations, the LA exhibition will be open to all ages and is sure to be a transformative experience, coalescing fantastical elements with reality. This will be Meow Wolf’s sixth installation to date.

Meow Wolf’s LA exhibition is set to open in 2026. Details will be revealed in the coming months, so keep an eye on their website.
