Seaport
Atop The Envoy Hotel, conveniently right next to The Barking Crab, you’ll find some of the best views of Boston Harbor and the city skyline. And if that combination isn’t enough of a selling point, the rooftop bar also serves seasonal cocktails, local craft beers, and just about any wine you could think of. Plus on chillier summer nights, you can grab a seat in front of one of the fireplaces.

Theater District
As one of the city’s largest rooftop lounges, Rooftop@Revere, sitting above Revere Hotel in the Theater District, offers delicious dinner and drinks, comfortable seating, and most importantly, elbow room—it is more than 15,000 square feet, after all. You can also reserve a private cabana ahead of time so your spot is guaranteed for the night.

Prudential Center
Approaching the one-year anniversary since its opening, Stratus, part of the Prudential Center’s new 360 observation deck, View Boston, provides panoramic views of the city. In order to wine and dine, you’ll need to snag a ticket ahead of time, with the “Beacon Bistro Bites” package starting at $100, which features a priority admissions ticket, two beverages, one appetizer or salad, and one large plate or sandwich. Keep in mind there are other packages available for cheaper, and starting in June, Stratus will roll out its Sunday brunch packages.

Back Bay
Atop the luxurious The Colonnade Hotel in Back Bay, you’ll find one of Boston’s premier rooftop pools—if not the only one. Better known as “RTP” (Rooftop Pool), this oasis set 12-stories above the city not only offers a place to take a refreshing dip, but you can enjoy small bites and crafty cocktails. Availability is based on a first come, first served basis, with a $55 entrance fee.

Back Bay
Inspired by the trattoria’s of Northern Italy, Contessa, located on top of The Newbury Hotel, is an elegant rooftop restaurant and bar overlooking Back Bay and the Public Garden. Open for breakfast, lunch, brunch, and dinner, Contessa’s dishes are just as divine as the décor. Not to mention the wine list is, as you’d expect and hope for it to be, pleasantly extensive.

Seaport
Open year-round, Deck 12, which sits on top of YOTEL in Seaport, has plenty to offer from its terrace/rooftop views to its drinks list, which includes frozen margaritas, THC seltzers, beer, wine and zero proof beverages. The bar also hosts “Appy Hour” daily from 4 pm to 7 pm, with half off a snack with the purchase of a beverage and trivia every Wednesday from 6 pm to 9 pm.

Seaport
The newly renovated roofdeck at Legal Harborside, located on the third floor of this Seaport favorite, is one way to quite literally elevate a casual seafood dining experience. The four-season rooftop lounge now has a retractable glass roof so patrons can enjoy the panoramic views regardless of the elements. As for the menu—it’s nothing short of a seafood lover's dream.

Harvard Square
If you’re looking for a little fun in Harvard Square, Felipe’s Taqueria’s rooftop is a can’t-miss. With delicious, small batch bites made from fresh ingredients, Felipe’s is a solid spot for dinner and drinks, specifically the many different kinds of margaritas–from spicy to frozen.

Harvard Square
Another Harvard Square gem, Daedalus’ cozy roof deck is decorated in fresh florals and tucked away from the busy streets, making it a great after work hang out. The menu is pub-inspired so you’ll find your favorite no-frills beer and mains like scallops, eggplant parmesan, fish and chips, and more comfort meals.

East Boston
Now open Thursday through Sunday, Cunard Tavern’s tropical rooftop bar, The Layover, serves up refreshing tiki cocktails with an island-inspired menu, featuring Korean bulgogi, succulent hoisin ribs, crispy tempura vegetables, and more. Between the lush décor and tasty dishes, this spot should be on your radar.

Dorchester
Dorchester Brewing Company's taproom is equipped with a four-season rooftop greenhouse and outdoor roof deck so you can enjoy sipping your favorite local brews while getting some sun and fresh air. And if you come with an appetite, you can get your hands on some ribs, “Dumpster Fries,” pulled pork, and more from M&M BBQ.

Charlestown
Located in the historic Navy Yard, Pier 6 in Charlestown leans into its nautical surroundings, overlooking the Boston Harbor and offering a raw bar, including shellfish towers, oysters, crab, shrimp cocktail, and more.
